Queensway, The Pavement & Kingsate - Project Update 26 February 2019

What’s been happening?

Development of the area is progressing well, with the completion of vegetation clearance across the entire site.

Drainage and duct installation has taken place and installation of the new granite paving and lighting columns is currently underway along Queensway.

Work has also begun on The Pavement, with the removal of the phone kiosk, advertisement board and old paving. Access is still available in this area, however due to the works, in a reduced capacity.

What’s next?

The project is on schedule and over the next month you will see the new paving continuing along Queensway and The Pavement. Once the main sections are complete, parts will be opened so work can then take place on the adjoining sections.

The new trees are on their way; the special pits have been installed and the first trees will be planted in March.
