Employ Crawley Takeover 19 - 26 February 2018

This week, the Employ Crawley Hub will be taken over by some of our partners who will be offering their help and advice on all things employment and training. 

From Monday to Thursday, partners will be based at the Hub in Crawley Library from 10am until 3pm and on Friday, the Hub at Broadfield Library from 10am until 1pm. 

Monday 19 February - get some careers advice and perfect your CV with help from the National Careers Service.

Tuesday 20 February - If you're aged between 16 and 25 and not in employment, education or training, Positive Placements, YMCA Downslink Group will be offering support to help you achieve your personal goals through training and work placements. 

Wednesday 21 February - Find out what training courses are available to you with Rewards Training Courses in English, Maths, IT, Food Safety and Health and Safety - many are fully funded.

Thursday 22 February - Have a family? Come and talk to the Volunteering and Employment Co-ordinator: Children and Family Centres from the IPEH about what support is available in your neighbourhood.

Friday 23 February (Broadfield Library) - Come and talk to the ​Volunteering and Employment Co-ordinator: Children and Family Centres from the IPEH about what support is available in your neighbourhood.

Monday 26 February - Find out what training courses are available to you with Rewards Training. Courses include English, Maths, IT, Food Safety and health & Safety - many are fully funded.

Employ Crawley Jobs Fair 5 March 2018

Employ Crawley is holding their first jobs fair, to promote live job vacancies and provide opportunities for job seekers to meet face to face with local employers.

The event is open to all ages and takes place in Crawley Library from 1030.am until 4.30pm on Monday 5 March.  

Attendees will be able to:

  • Meet local employers from a range of industries including retail, hospitality, construction, finance, social care and airport services.
  • Speak directly with employers about their vacancies and what they expect from candidates.
  • Take part in workshops that will be running throughout the day. These will cover topics such as how to get back to work on universal credits, online job searching and interview tips.
  • Find more jobs online with the help of Love Local Jobs who will be on hand to offer advice.
  • Meet the Employ Crawley Team and find out how they can help you find the right training and job opportunities.

Employ Crawley

Employ Crawley was launched in October 2017 and helps people access support, advice and guidance from specialist organisations in the town whilst providing one-to-one tailored support from a knowledgeable and well-connected member of staff.

Sometimes getting stable employment with prospects, retraining or even progressing to the next stage in a career can be tough. Employ Crawley is open to all residents and aims to make navigating the world of work simplerTogether with a support officer, customers can create a plan which is unique to them, helping them move into work or progress into the next stages of their career.
