Willmott Dixon invests in Sussex growth with new office in Manor Royal

Willmott Dixon has officially opened its new office in Manor Royal, Crawley with an event which brought together company leaders and representatives from both Crawley Borough and Surrey County Councils.

The audience heard how Willmott Dixon is committed to supporting business growth across the South East, and the importance of establishing and maintaining positive relationships with local authorities to stimulate more growth across Sussex.

Queensway, The Pavement and Kingsgate - project update

What’s been happening?

Paving along Queensway and The Pavement is near completion and the area is open to the public, including in front of the retailers.

Groundworks have been completed outside of Marks and Spencer and the paving work is almost complete. Access is still available in this area in a reduced capacity however due to the ongoing works,

New trees have been planted Queensway, along with new street furniture throughout Queensway and The Pavement.

What’s been happening?

Work on installing the paving along the middle section of Queensway has been completed and the area has been cleaned, sealed and reopened to pedestrian access. Installation of paving along The Pavement has progressed steadily with anticipation of completing the works in two weeks.

Local company wins council sponsored award

At the 11th Gatwick Diamond Business Awards on Thursday (21 March), a local company won the Professional Services Firm of the Year category, sponsored by Crawley Borough Council.

Horsham based company, MCA Consulting, won the award by consistently delivering exceptional service to their clients, demonstrating innovation and outstanding expert knowledge in their field.

MCA Consulting were selected as winners by Gatwick Diamond Business judges and the award was presented by Chief Executive of Crawley Borough Council, Natalie Brahma-Pearl.

The future looks bright for Employ Crawley

Crawley’s local employment support service is set to continue helping residents thanks to funding from the Department for Work and Pensions and two new team members.

Launched in 2017 by Crawley Borough Council in partnership with West Sussex County Council, Employ Crawley is a service aimed at using the experience and expertise of employment services, business and training providers to help residents take advantage of local employment and training opportunities.

Brexit - information for businesses

Crawley Borough Council has gathered a range of current information available to help businesses navigate their way through the various stages and scenarios of Brexit.

The information includes help and guidance from the Government, British Chambers of Commerce, Sussex Chambers of Commerce, Coast to Capital Local Enterprise Partnership, the Growth Hub, HMRC, the Federation of Small Businesses and Grant Thornton.

Businesses can also submit Brexit views and feedback to the Government via the Coast to Capital LEP's survey.

Queensway, The Pavement & Kingsate - Project Update 26 February 2019

What’s been happening?

Development of the area is progressing well, with the completion of vegetation clearance across the entire site.

Drainage and duct installation has taken place and installation of the new granite paving and lighting columns is currently underway along Queensway.

Work has also begun on The Pavement, with the removal of the phone kiosk, advertisement board and old paving. Access is still available in this area, however due to the works, in a reduced capacity.
