New Town Hall timeline changes

The timescales for the regeneration of the eastern end of The Boulevard – including a new Town Hall – have changed.

Demolition of the eastern part of the Town Hall has been moved back to October 2019. This change to the work programme has been made to reduce financial risk and to take account of delays due to investigations into potential listing.

This provides the council with the opportunity to bring the Council Chamber and Civic Hall back into use until June/July 2019, when decommissioning will commence.
